Field Day 2016
on: February 7, 2016, 07:38

Field Day 2016 is June 25th and 26th. I have reserved the Moqui Group Campground for the duration. The dates I have it reserved for is, June 23rd through the 27th. This will allow us to operate for the entire duration of the event as well as a day to two before and then allow us to take down camp as we want.

Members don't have to stay the entire time. Please come and go as you please.

Last year we had a large Thunderstorm come through, so make sure you bring something to read, or relax with, just in case we do our Thunderstorm policy. When thunderstorms come in, we disconnect radios, pull down antennas, and make sure camp is secure. Once lightning is no longer a threat, we then go back to operating.

Items to bring:

Camping gear

Foul Weather Gear

entertainment

radio gear

If you need other recommendations, then please let me know.

I got my humble beginnings in Ham Radio by coming in because of Emergency Communications. Once I started up I realized that there was more to the hobby than trying to save the world.

I am now the secretary and treasurer of the club.

So who am I? I am a guy who loves the outdoors. I raise chickens and have a garden. I go backpacking, hiking, and camping. I enjoy hunting and fishing.

Watch this video on a logging software that we will be using during field day.

Please install the software prior to arriving. If you need assistance, let me know.
